We will begin our tour by the Cathedral of Granada, to understand its architectural value but also symbolic because it was built to represent the victory of Christianity over Islam, after the conquest of the city by the Catholic Monarchs.

All the life of the medieval city passed through the streets that we now walk through, because before the Cathedral the Great Mosque was located here, which is the nerve center of any Muslim city. And as if we were merchants of the time, we will visit the narrow streets of the Alcaicería, the old silk market.

Their majesties wanted to be buried in the Royal Chapel, which will be visited next. One more proof of what the city of Granada represented for the monarchs as a symbol of La Reconquista. We will discover, together with our guide, a spectacular funerary monument that since the 20th century is a must-see for lovers of art and history. And we will be surprised to find here the original crown and scepter of Queen Isabella as well as the sword of King Ferdinand.

After this binge of history and art, time to go back abroad and relax walking to the Albaicín neighborhood, crossing what is known as Calle de las Teterías, until we reach the Carvajales Viewpoint from where we can enjoy beautiful views of the Alhambra and surroundings.

Taking advantage of this moment to review with our private guide those questions that aroused special interest to us throughout our private visit … and to give us some advice to continue our trip …
