Read moreThroughout the tour we will walk through some of the most typical neighborhoods of the city and its most hidden corners, to learn about its history and legends.
We will start by visiting the Carmen de los Mártires gardens, which is located on the Mauror hill, near the Alhambra and which shows us extraordinary panoramic views of Sierra Nevada, La Vega and the city of Granada. Although it is not a viewpoint itself, your visit is mandatory to enjoy this other side of the city.
Our next stop will be the one known as Mirador de la Churra, one of the least known in the city, which offers the best views of the Albaicín neighborhood. This neighborhood was inhabited since the 14th century by Africans known as “Gomeres” who were part of the Emir’s personal guard.
We change hills and now go to the Albaicín, where we will stop at our next balcony, the Mirador de los Carvajales, which hides very close to the streets of La Calderería and which frequently serves as an improvised stage for local guitarists and singers.
A little further up is the most famous in the city, the Mirador de San Nicolás, where tourists come every day to watch a magical sunset in front of the Alhambra. This is also a meeting point for artisans and artists and their visit becomes an experience. We will take advantage of this stop to take the best panoramic photographs.
And we will finish our route going down to the Sacromonte neighborhood and visiting the Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio. The tranquility that is breathed in this path is very relaxing, where we will see from different points the landscape of the Alhambra and its surroundings, at a similar height to that of the famous “Red Castle”. A perfect occasion to sit on one of its benches and observe the panorama, as if we had just traveled back in time and had gone back several centuries. And it is that the Sacromonte is pure magic in each of its corners.
